Trenton will be one of the collection sites for Operation Christmas Child, a program that provides items for needy children around the world during the holiday season.
Volunteers will be collecting shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and notes of encouragement during the National Collection Week, Nov. 18-25. Local residents can leave their donations at the First Baptist Church in Trenton from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 18; 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 19; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 20; 4 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 21; 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 22; 8 a.m. to noon on Nov. 23; 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 24; and 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Nov. 25.
