
Trenton Municipal Utilities Director Chad Davis, right, has been awarded the Dan A. Watkins- Gary L. Whorton Personal Service Award from the Missouri Public Utility Alliance. Making the presentation is Dan Watkins of MPUA. The award recognizes an individual with a utility in the Alliance who has actively participated in the Alliance for at least five years and whose special public or community service has been a credit to public utilities. Davis is a registered professional engineer and has been TMU director since 2002. In that time, Trenton Municipal Utilities has made numerous infrastructure improvements and upgrades to their electric, water, and sanitary sewer systems including over $9 million in wastewater treatment plant improvements, $4 million in water treatment plant improvements and acquired $450,000 in water and wastewater upgrades. Davis has also been involved in the negotiation of a unique peak flow agreement with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Further dedicating himself to the community, he is a member of the Trenton Lions Club and serves on two advisory committees for North Central Missouri College. In addition to his work for Trenton Municipal Utilities, Davis currently serves as the chairman of the Missouri Public Energy Pool (MoPEP), the Missouri Public Water Council (MPWC) and the Power Contract Committee. He is also an active member of the JOC and MJMEUC Executive Committee.
