Grundy, Gilman Split Games

The Grundy R-5 and Gilman City seventh and eighth grade basketball teams locked up in a pair of games on Monday night with each school picking up one win. Grundy took the girls game 23-20, while Gilman won the boys game 38-17.
In girls action, Grundy was led by Morgan Axtell’s 10 points. Zoe Littleton added nine points and Ivy Rottman finished with four. Haize Wilson led Gilman City with 14 points.
Boys action saw Gilman paced by Cornelius Peery, who had 14 points and Jacob Newton gave the Hawks eight points. Grundy got six points from Bryson Gann, five from Carson Radcliff and four from Tyler Stiles.
Both Grundy teams are at home tonight, playing host to Laredo.
