Melissa F. Dow, a minor, and Grover Dow, her next friend vs. Morse and Sons Properties LLC. The court approved a preferred judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the case, which involved injuries from a falling tree limb in June 2012.
Michelle M. Harding, 31, 403 W. 15th St., pleaded guilty to two counts of passing bad checks and had imposition of her sentence suspended. She was placed on probation for five years and is to make restitution of $3,256.71. Four counts of passing bad checks were dismissed.
Bradley S. Wilson, 33, Spickard, pleaded not guilty to non-support and had his case set for Nov. 14.
Justin W. Bryan, 22, 615 W. 15th St., pleaded not guilty to non-support and had his case set for Nov. 14.
Feliciano L. Rivera, 22, unknown address, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of endangering the welfare of a child and was sentenced to serve two years in the Department of Corrections, concurrent with a sentence in a Livingston County case. A charge of enticement of a child was dismissed.
John R. Smiley, 31, 712 Harris Ave., pleaded guilty to possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and an amended charge of driving while intoxicated. He was sentenced to serve 30 days in the Grundy County Detention Center on weekends on each charge, with the sentences to run concurrently. Charges of speeding and driving while revoked were dismissed.
Jesse R. Richmond IV, 34, Spickard, had his probation revoked on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less or marijuana. His stay of execution was set aside and the original sentence of five years in the Department of Corrections was ordered executed, with the court retaining jurisdiction for 120 days.
May W. White, 65, Galt, had her probation continued for one year to Feb. 2, 2016 after an agreement was reached on a probation violation. Her original charge was conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance near schools.
Jonathon B. Woods, 22, 619 Town and Country Ln. had his probation revoked on original charges of conspiracy to commit forgery and stealing. His stay was set aside and he was ordered to serve the original sentence of four years in the Department of Corrections.
Kay L. Smith, 20, 1512 Carnes St., had her probation continued on an original charge of forgery, with the condition that she successfully complete the Third Circuit Supervisory Program.
Lesley J. Honn, 25, Princeton, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana. Imposition of her sentence was suspended and she was placed on probation for five years, with the condition that she successfully complete the Third Circuit Supervisory Program.
Rhonda Boggs, 41, 412 E. 10th St., pleaded guilty to non-support and was placed on probation for two years. She is to pay $198 plus $2 in child support monthly beginning Oct. 1.
Robert L. Johnstone, 35, 506 W. Crowder Rd., had his request for a change of judge sustained on a charge of first degree statutory sodomy. The supreme court will appoint a new judge in the case.
Jeffrey C. Mathews, 34, Trenton, pleaded guilty to two charges of passing bad checks and had imposition of his sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for five years and is to make restitution on all the checks as well as successfully complete the Third Circuit Supervisory Program. A charge of violating a child protection order was dismissed.
