The city of Trenton is requesting services for a consulting engineer firm to perform work in connection with the possible replacement of the 17th Street Bridge.
Information is available by contacting City Administrator Kerry Sampson at city hall, 359-4310 or by e-mail at [email protected]. The deadline to submit a letter of interest is Thursday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m.
The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any irregularities that are in the best interest of the city of Trenton.
The city, the Missouri Department of Transportation and Union Pacific Railroad have been in talks for several months about the possible replacement of the bridge, which goes over the UP rail line at 17th and Lulu streets.
This is the first step in the process as to whether or not the bridge work will move forward. The engineering firm will assist not only with the design of a new bridge, but would also help in determining costs for the replacement project.
