Paul Johnson, a 96-year-old Trenton resident, died at 8:25 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at the Eastview Manor Care Center in Trenton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at South Evans Christian Church, north of Trenton. Burial will be in the South Evans Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday.
Mr. Johnson was born on Oct. 27, 1916 in Howard County, IN, the son of Edward and Sarah Knowltow Johnson. He attended the Jackson Township School in Howard County, IN. He married Lillie Snow in Marion, IN in June 1939. He worked for Anaconda Wire and Cable in Marion, retiring in 1979. In 2010, the couple moved to Trenton to be near their daughter. He was a member of the Treaty Church of Christ in Treaty, IN.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Lillie M. Johnson of Trenton; a son, Ronald Johnson and his wife, Jeannie of Wabash, IN; a daughter, Janet Cooper and her husband, Ron of Trenton; seven grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Those preceding him in death include his parents, nine brothers and sisters and a grandson.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice and left with or mailed to Whitaker Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.
