Blacksmithing Demonstration Set

Greg Humphrey, a blacksmith from the Princeton area, will present a demonstration of traditional blacksmithing skills at the Grundy County Museum on Saturday, Oct. 12.
The demonstration will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the courtyard area. Humphrey will use traditional blacksmith tools and a coal-fired forge. Children are welcome.
Only five days remain to see the museum’s exhibit, “Grown in Grundy County,” as the museum’s regular season will close Sunday, Oct. 20 after the Missouri Day Festival weekend. All three buildings in the museum campus will be open from 2 to 5 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults and children under 13 as well as active military members and their families are admitted free.
