Dale Herring, an 84-year-old resident of Brimson, died on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 in St. George, UT.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at the Robrson Funeral Home in Jamesport. Burial with military rites in the Masonic Cemetery at Gilman City.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at the Roberson Funeral Home in Jamesport. General visitation gets under way at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Mr. Herring was born on March 5, 1929 in Edinburg, the son of Fred L. and Jessie B. Hoskins Herring. He was married on Nov. 25, 1953 in Gilman City to Crystal Alene Norris, who preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 1991.
He was a lifelong farmer in the Brimson area and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the ELB Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda (John) Siemann of Kansas City, Brenda Herring of St. Joseph and Teresa (Robbie) Kincaid of Trenton; two sons, Ronnie Herring of Brimson and Dale LeRoy (Peggy) Herring of Grandview; a sister, Hazel (Glenn) Branning of Mesa, AZ; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Masonic Cemetery and/or the Gilman City First Baptist Church. They may be left at or mailed to the Roberson Funeral Home, PO Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
