It took eight innings before the Worth County girls softball team got by Princeton on Tuesday night, 4-3.
The game was tight throughout, with Worth County taking a 2-0 lead in the second inning before the Lady Tigers tied the game with a run in the fourth and a run in the fifth. Both teams scored one run in the sixth, which would be the only scoring done in regulation.
Princeton finished the night with nine hits, led by Trinity Kile with three singles. Paige Phillips collected two singles while Rachelle Parks, Kotie Mogler and Kelsey Batson had one single each.
Chelsie Jones took the loss, striking out nine while giving up four runs on seven hits. Jones also got her 100th strikeout of the season.
Princeton is 2-7 in the GRC and will host Newtown-Harris on Thursday.
