Billy Mac “Bill” Hague, a 78-year-old resident of Spickard, died on Tuesday morning, Sept. 17, 2013 at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at the Spickard Christian Church with David Binkley officiating. Burial will be in Half Rock Cemetery at Half Rock.
Family visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 o’clock tonight (Wednesday Sept. 18, 2013) at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mr. Hague was born on July 8, 1935 in Half Rock, the son of Levi Allen and Eva Gertrude McCullough Hague. He attended Rhodes rural school, east of Half Rock. He lived in Mercer County before moving to Spickard. He was employed by Grand River Mutual Telephone in Princeton for 25 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church in Half Rock.
He was married at Half Rock on Sept. 7, 1958 to Barbara Louise Summer, who survives of the home.
Other survivers include one daughter, Carol Spencer and her husband, Howard of Cross Timbers; one son, Tom Hague and his wife, Ronnie of Versailles; three sisters, Mary Wallace of Trenton, Donna Wilson and her husband, Russell of Chillicothe and Ruth Chipps of Versailles; three brothers, Eddie Hague of Chillicothe, Jimmy Hague and his wife, Margaret of Orrick and Jackie Hague and his wife, Bev of Chillicothe; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Mindy Jo Hague; three sisters, Helen Hague, Devona Greener, and Betty Beemer; five brothers, Dale Hague, Max Hague, Bertie Allen Hague, J.L. Hague and Robert Hague; and three nephews, Joey Hague, Bobby Meeker and Stanley Wilson.
Memorials are suggested to the Half Rock Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.
