Helping Hands 4-H Club Meets

Members of the Helping Hands 4-H Club met o Sept. 11 at the First Christian Church with seven members and five leaders present.
Latorrie Johnson called the meeting to order. Tegan and Gaven Kelsall led the pledge to the U.S. and 4-H flags. Roll call was answered with each person telling their favorite cat.
National 4-H Week, which is Oct. 6-12, was discussed and it was decided that club members would attend their church of choice for 4-H Sunday and attend on either Oct. 6 or Oct. 13. Members will wear their 4-H shirts then as well as on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Enrollment,volunteer and recognition forms were collected. “Happy Birthday” was sung to Sherri and Gaven Kelsall.
Mary Ellen Johnson installed the new officers, using a trail mix theme. The officers are Wyatt Neal, president; Elle Neal, vice president; Latorrie Johnson, secretary; Tegan Kelsall, treasurer; Gaven Kelsall, reporter; Anna Hines, historian; and Levi Johnson, recreation leader.
Levi Johnson led members in the game “Animal Charades.”
The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 9 at the First Christian Church with the Johnson family providing refreshments with a Halloween theme.
