The Trenton High School girls volleyball team was at home on Thursday, hosting Carrollton in matches at the THS gym.
After dropping the first set 15-25, the Lady Bulldogs bounced back for a 25-15 win before falling in the rubber set of the match, 18-25.
Alex Ewald and Lyric Nolan had two aces each to lead the Lady Bulldog effort. Lakisha Hughs and Bekah Wiggins collected seven kills while Sarah Walker had two single blocks and one assisted block. Malinda Foster and Ewald added six assists each and Ewald also had 24 digs.
The JV fell to the visiting Carrollton team in two sets, 21-25, 8-25.
Tomi Delp finished the night with two aces and two kills. Jasmyn French had two assists and Morganne Farmer had three digs.
The varsity squad is 0-5 on the season. The Lady Bulldogs will host Hamilton on Monday in the THS gym. JV action starts at 5 p.m. with the varsity matchup to follow.
