The Trenton Lady Bulldogs golf team took another step in the right direction Wednesday at their first home match of the season. Trenton played host to Chillicothe and Putnam County in a triangular and, despite finishing behind both visitors, continued to improve.
Chillicothe won the meet with a team score of 210 and Putnam came around with a score of 222. The Lady Bulldogs, meanwhile, carded their best score of the season with a 233.
Trenton had three golfers shoot in the 50’s with Caitlin McNabb, Jordain Oshel and Lauren Schmidt all shooting a 56. Kaitlyn Mounce and Sheridan Jamvold were also in action, both carding a 65.
“We are playing much better,” Lady Bulldogs’ Coach Jeremy Austin said. “We improved over 20 strokes from the last dual and over 35 from our first match. I am happy with our progress. We had three girls in the 50’s so that is our goal to get everyone there.”
