R-6 Students Start “Chef” Program

Submitted Photo Preschool students at Pleasant View R-6 started the Chef Combo program on Friday, Aug. 23. Children are in a unit entitled, “All About Me.” After reading several books the first three days of school related to being unique individuals, students assembled cheese sandwiches and cut them out according to their gender. Chef Combo will visit the students on most Fridays throughout the school year with other cooking activities appropriate to the current unit. Pictured with their creations are Makayla Mejia and Tripp Copple.  The preschool teacher is Janet Lea Lake and Barbara Robertson is the preschool paraprofessional.
