A Mercer woman received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon, 10 miles west of Princeton on Highway 136.
Annabelle Robinson, 81, was taken to North Kansas City Hospital by LifeFlight Eagle for treatment of her injuries. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said she was the driver of an SUV that was eastbound on Highway 136 and went off the right side of the road, striking a guardrail. The vehicle then overturned down an embankment, coming to rest on its top. Mrs. Robinson had to be extricated from the vehicle, which was demolished.
The accident was investigated by Troop J.W. George, who was assisted by Trooper B.R. Hillard, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, the Mercer County Fire Protection District and the Mercer County Ambulance Service.
