The Trenton High School Future Business Leaders of America and THS Student Council are partnering with Second Harvest for the Backpack Buddies program in Trenton and will hold a fundraiser during this Friday night’s THS football game with Carrollton.
It takes $150 to provide a backpack of food to one student during the school year. In order to help with expenses for the program, the two groups will sponsor a 50/50 raffle, with the winning ticket being drawn at the end of the third quarter. The winner must be present in order to claim their prize, which is 50 percent of the total amount of money raised from the ticket sales.
Donations for the program can also be sent to the Grundy County Food Pantry in care of Ginny Wikoff. Checks should note that the funds are designated for the Backpack Buddies.
