The Missouri Department of Conservation will be setting up buying stations throughout the state to purchase seeds that will be used at the George O. White State Nursery at Licking.
Seeds to be bought this year include Bur Oak, Black oak, Pin oak, Northern red oak, Swamp white oak, Shell bark hickory, Hazelnut, Wild Plum, Paw Paw, Ohio buckeye and Redbud. Among the buying stations will be one located at the MDC office at Chillicothe. Buying dates will be Monday, Sept. 23, Tuesday, Oct. 8 and Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 2 to 6 p.m.
