Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 21, business seminars are being offered to area business owners, managers and those who would like to own a business.
The seminars are being hosted by the City of Trenton, North Central Missouri College and the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce. Each seminar is three hours long and attendees can choose to attend a morning session from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or an afternoon session from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Morning sessions include breakfast and afternoon sessions include lunch. There will be a total of five seminars and the cost is $15 per seminar or $50 for all five and the seminars will be held on the NCMC campus.
The first seminar deals with security issues in protecting businesses from theft and fraud. Other dates and topics include Sept. 11, Human Resources: Finding and Retaining the Best Employees and Building a Dynamic Team; Oct. 23, Marketing: How to Get the Most Out of Your Marketing Dollars and Increase Your Average Sales Per Customer; Nov. 13: Business Finances and Legal Issues: Improving Your Bottom Line and Knowing Legal Pitfalls; and Dec. 11, Business Resources: Knowing Resources Available to Your Business.
