Eddie and Merle King of rural Laredo will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013. The couple were married on Aug. 8, 1953 at the Fairview Baptist Church, south of Trenton. Attendants were Berti Lou Peniston and Chuck Canning. They are the parents of four daughters, Jeannie Anderson, Teresa Stanturf and Leann Lame, all of Trenton, and Mary Walker of St. Joseph.
