A pair of Trenton residents were hurt in a one-vehicle accident on Tuesday night on a private road, two miles south of Galt.

Jesse Bruce, 19, and Ericka Spurgin, 15, were taken to Wright Memorial Hospital at Trenton for treatment of their injuries, which were listed as serious. Bruce, the driver of the vehicle, was taken by private vehicle while Miss Spurgin, the passenger, was taken by Grundy County Ambulance.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said the vehicle was eastbound on a private route when it failed to negotiate a right hand turn. The vehicle skidded off the west side of the road and overturned, ejecting both occupants. Neither one were wearing a safety device.
The vehicle received minor damage. The accident was investigated by Cpl. Adam McAtee, assisted by Trooper J.C. Daley and Trooper L.S. Lowe.
