Rex Paul Stevenson, a 72-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at his home.

The body was cremated. A family memorial service will be held at a later date with cremains inurned at Maple Grove Cemetery in Trenton
Mr. Stevenson was born on Dec. 23, 1941 in Trenton, the son of Garland and Francis Daugherty Stevenson. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962. He worked for and retired from Bell Limousine Service in Las Vegas, NV.
He enjoyed family and friends as well as fishing and watching the squirrels on the feeder and naming them all. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his daughters, Kelly Stevenson of Trenton; two grandchildren, Ammie Boyd and her husband, Dale, and Katelyn Stevenson; three great-grandchildren, Chase, Johnathan and Lilly Boyd; a brother, Lester Stevenson; and a sister, Darlene Dugger.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Stevenson.
Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home of Trenton is in charge of arrangements.
