The tractor cruise committee has been working, displaying tractors at Pearl’s II for Nursing Home Week. They will do a mini cruise on July 4 and display them at the school. They already have established the route for Calamity Jane Days.
The theme for this year’s Calamity Jane Days will be “Honoring Military Past and Present.” Assistance is needed in determining the oldest and youngest military person and persons knowing the names of anyone who may qualify are asked to contact Donna Herdrich or Judy Woodward. An emcee is being solicited for the parade and the chamber is asking everyone, especially businesses, to fly American Flags for Calamity Jane Days to honor the military.
The committee will pay $250 for an organization to be in charge of the parade and $200 for the baby show. KidPower is putting on the kid’s pedal tractor pull and the cost is $850 with trophies. Farmers, businesses or individuals are invited to be sponsors for the Kid’s Pedal Pull. A gold sponsorship is $100 and silver is $75.
