The Trenton Family Aquatic Center will open for the 2013 season on Saturday, May 25.
Pool To Open On Saturday
Daniel Gott will again serve as the pool manager, with 35 certified lifeguards having been hired to staff the pool, including concessions and the front window.
Hours of operation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. daily. Night sessions will begin on July 5 and be held each Friday night, from 7 to 10 o’clock.
Daily admission is free for children ages 0 to 11 months, $1 for children ages 1 to 5, $4 for youth ages 6 to 17, $5 for adults 18 and over and $2 for senior citizens (ages 55 and older).
Season passes can be purchased at the swimming pool. A single person pass is $60 while a family pass, which includes up to four household members and a babysitter, is $150. Each additional person is $20.
A senior season pass is $20 for singles and $30 for a couple. A pass for lap swim, which takes place each day from noon to 1 p.m., is $20. Those doing the lap swim must be 18 years of age or older or be accompanied by an adult.
Pool parties will be available again this year. As in the past, two sessions per night are available on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, beginning on May 31. Sessions are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. The cost is $175 and includes a $50 deposit. Pool parties can also be held on Friday during the month of June only. To schedule a party, persons can call the pool.
Red Cross swimming lessons have also been announced. There will be two sessions this year, with the first being June 17 to June 28 while the second is July 22 to Aug. 2. Lessons will be Monday through Thursday, with Friday used as a makeup day. Level 1 lessons are only one week long with the cost being $20. All other levels are two weeks at a cost of $30.
Level 5 and 6 will be from 8 to 9:45 a.m., Level 4 and 3 will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m., Level 2 will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. and Level 1 will be from 11 to 11:30 a.m.
