Margaret Elizabeth “Maggie” Waterbury, a 92-year-old resident of Jamesport, died on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at the NorthCare Hospice & Palliative Care in North Kansas City.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at the Roberson Funeral Home in Jamesport. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery at Jamesport.
Mrs. Waterbury was born on July 16, 1920 in Harrison County, the daughter of Lee and Alice (Long) Ratliff. She was married on March 11, 1937 to Clifford N. Waterbury, who preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1994. She was a homemaker. She attended school in Melbourne. She was a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church in Trenton .
She is survived by three daughters, Betty Trimble of Jamesport, Sue Baxter of Humphreys and Dixie Pierce of Jamesport; two sons, Bob Waterbury, of Chillicothe, OH and Terry Waterbury of Pattonsburg; three brothers, Dale Ratliff of Gilman City, Darrell Ratliff of Gilman City and Jim Ratliff of Bethany; two sisters, Winifred Burrows of Gallatin and Carolyn Griffin of Coffey; 22 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Nancy Eads; an infant son, M.T. Waterbury; and three sisters, Aville Robertson, Vivian McAtee and Deloris Pearson.
