Albert “Elgin” Ferguson, a 92-year-old resident of Wataga, IL, died at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 at his home in Wataga.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory in Oneida, IL. Rev. Kurt Lipe officiated.
Mr. Ferguson was born on Jan. 11, 1920 in Edinburg, the son of Robert T. and Fern McWaid Ferguson. He attended grade school at Edinburg and later went to high school in Trenton.
He was married on Aug. 29, 1939 in Linneus to Lois R. Head. He was married in 1971 in Galesburg to Nancy Tucker and then was married on June 19, 1986 in Kingman, AZ to Linda Kincheleo. All three preceded him in death.
He farmed all his life in the Oneida area, raising hogs and cattle, working for Don Bjorling in Oneida and driving for North American Van Lines.
He is survived by two sons, Jesse (Darlene) Ferguson of Knoxville, IL and Jason (Amy Jones) Ferguson of Galesburg, IL; a daughter, Marsha Sue (Jim) Ryder of Oneida; four step-daughters, Paula (Dennis) Martin, Wendy (Aaron) Bollinger of Altona, IL, Toni West of Galesburg and Tami Clewell of Galesburg; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Leona (Karl) Kinnamon of Bloomfield, IA; a brother, Ralph (Wiberta) Ferguson of Independence; and a brother-in-law, J.E. Wolf of Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by his wives, his parents, two sisters and one brother.
