Guess who’s coming to the Missouri Day Festival Parade?

The answer is “lots of famous figures in the sports world.” Among the personalities expected to join a list of dignitaries are Sluggerrr of the Kansas City Royals. The official mascot of the Royals baseball team will be riding in a convertible and sponsored in the parade by Serve Link Home Care and Barnes-Baker Automotive. Joining Sluggerrr throughout the parade will be Bobby the Bearcat on the Northwest Missouri State University float out of Maryville, Muddy the Mudcat of the Chillicothe Mudcats baseball team and, from Trenton, the Trenton High School Bulldog Mascots and Captain Patch of North Central Missouri College. Other special guests are expected to be announced later by the sponsoring Trenton Rotary Club.
The Missouri Day Parade kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday with over 160 units, including 27 bands, scheduled to participate.
