The Trenton Lady Bulldogs golf team struggled during the first day of the Class 1 MSHSAA Girls Golf Championships in New Bloomfield. Trenton shot a team score of 446 on day one, landing the Lady Bulldogs in eighth place.
Haley Purkapile was the only Lady Bulldog to shoot under 100, finishing with a 99. That mark placed Purkapile in a tie for 42nd overall.

Katie Lenhart had Trenton’s next best score, carding a 106. Chandler Wilson followed with a 108 and Karley McCollum finished with a 133. Lauren Schmidt was also in action, shooting a 145.
Trenton began the second and final day of competition this morning, looking to improve on their team standing.
