Clinton Dale Christy, a 68-year-old resident of Avondale and formerly of Browning, died on Friday Sept. 21, 2012 at North Kansas City Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone. Burial will be at the Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery in Kansas City.
Family visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Christy was born on Dec. 16, 1943, in Milan, the son of Jay and Dorothy Christy. He was a 1961 graduate of Liberty High School in Browning and was a member of Browning Baptist Church. He served in the US Army from 1961-1967. He worked for St. Regis Bag Co. for 35 years. He enjoyed car racing, visiting with friends and relatives and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was married in Kansas city on Feb. 25, 1972 to Karolee Rice who survives of the home.
Also surviving are two sons, Lyle Flanery of Avondale and Clint (Kristi) Christy of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Annsley and Kirkland Christy; his mother, Dorothy Christy of Chillicothe; three brothers, Marvin (Mary) Christy of Cassville, Roy Christy of Overland Park, KS and Eldon (Lisa) Christy of Chillicothe; three sisters, Evelyn (Bob) Graham of Trenton, Francis (Kenny Ray) Nickell of Browning and Carol (Charles) Bennett of Excelsior Springs; two brother-in-laws, Bob (Beverly) Rice and Dale (Debbie) Rice, both of Kansas City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jay and brothers, James and David.
