The Trenton High School and Trenton Middle School marching bands came away with six trophies during Saturday’s Carrollton Band Day activities.

The middle school band earned top honors in the parade competition. The high school band finished first in field auxiliary, second in indoor drumline, third in field show and indoor guard and fourth in parade. The band also finished third overall in the grand champion sweepstakes competition, finishing behind Fayette and Macon. Only the top two bands receive a trophy.
Band Director Tim Gilham said the Trenton bands placed in every event in which they were entered, which he noted speaks to the hard work the students have been doing.
