Green Hills Community Action Agency is seeking Ameren customer homes to weatherize for free in their nine-county service area.

Persons falling at 200 percent of Federal Poverty Guidelines or below qualify for this program. A family with one person living in the household with an annual income of $22,340, a two person household with an income of $30,260 annually, a three person household with an annual income of $38,180, a family of four with an income of $46,100 or a family of five with an income of $54,020 will qualify for this service.
GHCAA utilizes certified energy auditors to examine the home to determine which weatherization items are needed. Typical things done to the home include attic insulation, foundation insulation, wall insulation, clean and tune of furnaces, caulking and weather-stripping.
Rental properties are eligible with the landlord paying $300 of the cost of weatherizing the home.
