TMS Softball Team Drops One, Earns Tie In B Game

The Trenton Middle School softball teams were in action on the road on Wednesday night, traveling to Norborne. Trenton fell in the A game, 6-5, but came back to pick up a tie in the B game.

In the A game, Trenton was led by Jaylen Neff, who was 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and two RBIs. Katerina Black doubled for the Lady Bulldogs as well. Ashten Whitaker took the loss in the circle for the Lady Bulldogs, but struck out five in the contest.
In the B game, Claire Utley provided the offense for Trenton, going 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI. Hannah Kennebeck and Bailey Dannatt each drove in a run as well and Bailey Bankson had 2 RBIs. Utley threw a complete game in the split, fanning five Norborne batters.
The TMS softball team returns to action on Saturday as they travel to compete in the Hamilton Middle School Softball Tournament.
