The Tigers took it to the Midgets early, scoring twice in the opening quarter of play. Princeton would tack on five more points in the second quarter, earning a safety and a field goal. Putnam County scored once in the second quarter and added a two-point conversion, but that was all the Tigers would allow as they shut the Midgets out the rest of the way. Princeton, meanwhile, added two more touchdowns, one in the third quarter and one in the fourth.
Colton Hartley led the way for the Tigers, completing 7-of-11 passes for 78 yards and a touchdown pass to Colton Nelson. On the ground, Hartley carried the ball 23 times for 304 yards and three rushing touchdowns. Floyd Holsted added 64 yards on 10 carries.
Vince Jennings was responsible for the Tigers’ safety and Joseph Lovett nailed two extra-point kicks and hit a 30-yard field goal for the Tigers.
