The Rissler Elementary School PTO met on Tuesday night, making plans for the coming year.

It was decided to give each teacher at the Rissler Elementary School in grades preschool through four $25 to use for their classrooms. T-shirts are to be sold as a fundraiser. Surveys were returned and it was announced that Brad Chumbley and Shana Norris had received the gift certificates for returning theirs.
Emily Voorhies was selected to serve as treasurer of the PTO with the other officers remaining the same. They include Cassy Wanstreet, president; Amanda Spencer, vice president; and Rosetta Marsh, secretary.
Principal Jennie Boon gave a list of upcoming events, including individual school pictures on Sept. 11, Drive One 4 Ur School on Sept. 18 and the homecoming parade on Sept. 21. She also reported on the number of students enrolled at Rissler for the year.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
