Wayne Leroy Wheelbarger, a 76-year-old Trenton resident, died at 4:51 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Burial will be in the Arkadelphia Cemetery near Avalon.
Visitation is scheduled from 7 until 8 o’clock tonight (Monday, Aug. 20, 2012) at the funeral home. Open visitation is under way.
Mr. Wheelbarger was born on Oct. 2, 1935 in Livingston County, the son of Floyd and Ruth Kissick Wheelbarger. He graduated from Bogard High School and then enlisted in the United States Army where he was a helicopter mechanic. Around 1960 he started a barber shop. He was married in Bogard on Aug. 20, 1961 to Ruth Sanson. They moved in 1976 to Trenton, where he worked for Modine Manufacturing.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth of the home; three sons, Lyle, Jason and Curtis, all of Trenton; a daughter, Karen Humphries and her husband, Charles of Van Buren, AR; two sisters, Helen Allen of Gladstone and Connie Epperson of Morrisville; and seven grandchildren, Brianna, Lee, Emily, Tristan, Nathan, Christopher and Kyle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Brian Keith Wheelbarger.
