Ashley B. Rhodes, a 27-year-old resident of Chula, died on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 at the Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the May Cemetery at Chula.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 at the funeral home, where general visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
Mrs. Rhodes was born on Oct. 5, 1984 in Sedalia, the daughter of Rick and Lori Cox Singleton. She was a 2003 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was married on June 17, 2006 at Chillicothe to James Rhodes, who survives of the home. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her children. She was a member of the Alpha Baptist Church at Alpha.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Carson and Remington Rhodes of Chula; her mother, Lori Singleton and Randy Horton of Trenton; her father, Rick Singleton and his wife, Beth of Cameron; a sister, Emily Mitchell and her husband, Nathan of Meadville; a step-sister, Charlotte Lindley of Plattsburg; three nephews, Hunter Mitchell, Christopher Rhodes and Logan Rhodes; two nieces, Lilee Mitchell and Alexis Rhodes; her paternal grandfather, Richard Singleton of Laredo; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Pam and Burl Ireland of Chillicothe; three brothers-in-law, Dave Rhodes, Jason Rhodes and Luke Ireland of Chillicothe; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Fern Singleton; and her maternal grandparents, Charlie and Nina Cox.
