Judge Jack Peace
Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City vs. Terry Browning. The court sustained the plaintiff’s motion for a default judgment in the amount of $38,951.34 plus interest.
Dallas Hanes, 19, 833 N.W. 23rd St., pleaded guilty to forgery and had sentencing set for Oct. 11.
Jaron B. Rhea, 21, 611 E. 28th St., pleaded guilty to tampering with a motor vehicle, second degree property damage and second degree trespassing. Sentencing was set for Oct. 11.
David B. Dowell, 48, 140 E. Fifth St., had his probation revoked on three charges of non-support and had his sentences of four years in the Department of Corrections on each charge ordered executed. The sentences are to run concurrently.
Tony C. Dittemore, 19, 701 E. Sixth St., had his probation revoked on charges of stealing and tampering with a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to six years in the Department of Corrections on each charge, with the sentences to run concurrently. He pleaded guilty to attempting to receive stolen property and was sentenced to serve four years in the DOC. He also pleaded guilty to second degree burglary and was sentenced to serve five years in the DOC. All of the sentences are to run concurrently.
Benjamine C. Pratt, Jr., 39, Columbia, had his probation revoked on a charge of second degree burglary and his sentence of four years in the Department of Corrections was ordered executed. He is also to serve four years in the DOC on a charge of conspiracy to commit second degree burglary. The sentences are to run concurrently.
Jeffrey A. VanHoozer, 31, 1423 Chestnut St., had a jury trial set for Oct. 31 on a charge of statutory rape.
Clinton S. Buntin, 24, Warrensburg, pleaded not guilty to second degree burglary and two charges of stealing and had his case set for Sept. 13.
Nickolas L. Pipes, 17, Laredo, pleaded not guilty to second degree burglary, first degree property damage, second degree trespassing and second degree property damage. He is to appear in court again Sept. 13.
Casey A. Russell, 23, 513 E. Ninth Ct., pleaded guilty to forgery and was sentenced to serve six years in the Department of Corrections. The defendant pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child and was sentenced to serve 210 days in the Grundy County Detention Center, with credit given for time served. A charge of possession of a controlled substance was dismissed.
Jesse D. Richmond IV, 32, Spickard, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and had sentencing set for Sept. 13.
Jennifer Koenig, 27, 907 E. Rural St., had a two-day jury trial set for May 2, 2013 on a charge of conspiracy to commit forgery.
Carl C. Fish, 48, 401 E. 22nd St., had his probation extended for one year on an original charge of non-support.
Jeremy D. Matthes, 39, Tina, had his probation revoked on a charge of harassment and was ordered to serve three years in the Department of Corrections, with the court retaining jurisdiction for 120 days.
Rachel Waldrep, 21, 403 W. 15th St., pleaded guilty to unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana. She was sentenced to serve 50 days in the Grundy County Detention Center on each charge, with credit given for time served. She also pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana and was sentenced to serve seven years in the Department of Corrections. Her probation was revoked on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and she was sentenced to serve seven years in the DOC. The sentences are to run concurrently.
Marvin W. Tunnell, 58, 2007 Chestnut St., was sentenced to serve 15 years in the Department of Corrections on a charge of first degree child molestation, to which he had earlier pleaded guilty. Execution of the sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation for five years.
Jonathan B. Woods, 21, 1918 Pleasant Plain, waived formal arraignment and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit forgery, with sentencing set for Oct. 11. A charge of stealing was dismissed.
William Kyle Swartz, 18, 2210 Bolser St., pleaded guilty to second degree burglary and had sentencing set for Oct. 11.
Dennis Busby, 58, Trenton, had his case moved to Harrison County on a change of venue. He is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 23.
Dakota W. Dalton, 17, Humphreys, pleaded guilty to three counts of second degree burglary, a charge of stealing a firearm and second degree property damage. Sentencing was set for Oct. 11. Charges of first degree property damage and second degree trespassing were dismissed.

Judge Steven D. Hudson
Dennis Busby, 58, Trenton, pleaded guilty to littering the waters of the state and was sentenced to serve 14 days in jail with the sentence to run concurrently with jail time being served in the Department of Corrections on a Circuit Division charge.
Ashley N. Pettit, 21, Jamesport, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of speeding and was fined $200 and $58.50 costs.
