The Green Hills Community Action Agency continues its community garden project, allowing persons a place to grow produce that can be used by those individuals to either consume or sell through farmer’s markets.
This website brought to you in part by the following sponsor:

In its third year of existence, the CAA has provided gardening sites for low-income persons as well as the elderly, developmentally disabled and persons from the general public. Community and student groups have also been involved with the project. Fertilizer, seed and supplies are purchased in bulk and distributed to each site, with seed given to members of the garden and sold to the general public. Memberships are $1 per year.
Classes are also offered to provide persons with canning or food preservation skills.
To help continue this project, which in Trenton is located near the Community Food Pantry site at the corner of 17th and Harris Avenue, contributions are sought to cover associated cost. Corporate level sponsorships of $500 to $599, $1,000 to $4,999 and $5,000 and over are available, as well as single family sponsorships of $150, however, any monetary donation will be accepted. For more information, persons can contact Terri Henderson at the CAA, 359-3907, ext 1022.
