According to information provided by Lt. Mike Moore, the call came in from Novy Foland of 1207 Scott St., who said there was a strong odor of smoke in the residence. Upon arrival, firefighters found that a stack of pillows located on the top shelf of a bedroom closet were smoldering heavily from the heat of a light bulb that had been left on in the closet. Using a salvage cover, the items were extinguished and then removed from the residence and extinguished again. A smoke ejection fan was used to remove smoke from the residence. It was noted that the smoke detectors in the house were not working.
