The Trenton R-9 School District will hold its tax levy hearing on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the district office, prior to the regular monthly board meeting.

The district is proposing a levy of $4.3577 on the $100 assessed valuation, this is nearly 7 cents less than the levy from a year ago. Based on an assessed valuation of $73,700,844, the tax is anticipated to generate $3,211,661.68. Included in that revenue total is $663,307.60 for the debt service (90 cents) and $2,548,354.08 for the incidental fund ($3.4577).
