Representatives of the Northwest Region of the MU Extension Council attended the seventh annual “Council to Campus” conference in Columbia on June 22-23.

The conference focused on emergency research at the University of Missouri and how it connects to citizens through extension. Topics included “Council Members’ Roles in Communicating Impact of MU Extension Programs”, “Taking Care of You: Body-Mind-Spirit”, “Electricity Generation Substantiability Index”, “Creating Entrepreneurs, Enterprises and Employment”, “Food and Ag Industry” and “Food Power Showcase.”
Those attending from the area included Karma Metzgar, MU extension regional director, northwest district; Sallie Jo Potter, Andrew County extension council member and regional delegate to the state extension council; Dave Bomgardner, Mercer County extension council member; and Wilson Majee, MU extension community development specialist and Mercer County program director.
