The Helping Hands 4-H club met on June 26 at the First Christian Church with six members, five leaders and three guests attending.

Latorrie Johnson presided over the meeting. Gaven and Tegan Kelsall led the pledges. Elle Neal took roll with members telling their middle name.
Project reports were given in Clover Kids, Photography, Foods and Clothing. Information from the County 4-H Council meeting was shared. Important activities coming up are Achievement Day on July 30 at 9 a.m. at the Rock Barn and a record book training on Aug.7 at the R-6 school from 5:30-7 p.m. The girls who attended camp gave a report on the fun they had and signed a thank you to give the council for helping fund their camping experience. North Central Missouri Fair information was passed out.
Patsy Griffin gave a short program on creative uses for items and cleaning tips. Mary Ellen Johnson gave a short program on the use of the gavel at the 4-H meetings. Members sang “Happy Birthday” to Wyatt Neal, refreshments were served and Gaven Kelsall led the members in a game of Crazy Catch.
The next meeting will be a social at the Hoover Theater on July 11. Members will be attending the performance of “The Nightingale.” The tentative date for the August meeting is Wednesday, August 29 at 6 p.m. at the First Christian Church with the Kelsall family providing refreshments.
