Archie Wayne Wynne, a 73-year-old Edinburg resident, died at 5:38 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012 at his residence from an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Edinburg Baptist Church. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
A scheduled visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home of Trenton.
Mr. Wynne was born on November 29, 1938 in Grundy County, the son of Howard and Georgia Lawrence Wynne. He was married to Judy Smith on June 26, 1959 in Wayne, MI.
Archie was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed gardening, auctions, working on garden tractors and watching his grandchildren’s activities. He was a member and chairman of the deacons at Edinburg Baptist Church.
Archie had a long career with three different railroads working in communications, brakeman, conductor, engineer and he also worked on the section gang starting in 1956 with the Rock Island, CN&W 1980-95 and retired with the Union Pacific Railroad in December of 2000. While laid off from the railroad he worked at McVay and Trenton Ford from 1985 to 1988.
Mr. Wynne is survived by his wife, Judy Wynne of the home; a son, Brett Wynne and his wife, Lisa of Blue Springs; two daughters, Sharalyn Robinson and her husband, Craig of Trenton and Laura Kimble and her husband, Kurtis of Maryville; four brothers, Ray Wynne and his wife, Beverly of Krum, TX, John “Benny” Wynne and his wife, Marilyn of Dallas, TX, Larry Wynne and his wife, Lonna of Omaha NE, and Lawrence “Babe” Wynne of Trenton; nine grandchildren, Adria Meek Moore and her husband, Justin, Jesse Meek, Ashten Kimble, Aubrey Kimble, Zane Robinson, Dylan Robinson, Flint Robinson and his wife, Kayleigh, Hannah Robinson and Tyler Wynne; and five great-grandchildren, Avery Clark, Barrett Clark, Maci Moore, Madi Moore and Rayleigh Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
