Thelma Maxine Cooper Danner, an 89-year-old former area resident, died on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline, IL.

Mrs. Danner was born on July 2, 1922 in Galt, the daughter of Oral Windsor and Ida Mae Sims Cooper. She was married in September 1941 to Guy F. Daniels, who preceded her in death in 1971. She was married in 1973 to Jesse J. Danner, who preceded her in death in 1999.
She owned and operated two cafes in the Quad Cities. She also owned and managed a private elderly care home before retiring.
Survivors include a son, Larry (Kathy) Daniels of Bucklin; grandchildren, Colleen Dean of Woodhull IL and Russell (Patricia) Daniels of Biggsville, IL; great-grandchildren, Ryan Daniels, Nicholas Daniels and Nathan Daniels, all of Illinois and Jackie (Kyle) Brown of Livonia; great-great-grandchildren Landon Brown and Laila Brown of Livonia; a sister, Wilma Dzeskunskas of Moline; and a brother, Lindy (Barbara) Cooper of Rock Island, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a niece, Denise Olson; and two sisters, Patricia Herkert and Jean LaFerrara.
