Jo Ellen “Jody” Zimmerman, a 71-year-old resident of Maryville, died on Monday, May 28, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012, at Price Funeral Home at Maryville with burial in Miriam Cemetery at Maryville.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Price Chapel in Maryville.
Mrs. Zimmerman was born on June 1, 1940, in rural Harrison County, the daughter of Eldon and Dorothy Greenall Peery.
A 1958 graduate of the Gilman City High School, Mrs. Zimmerman was a Program Technician at the USDA Nodaway County Farm Service Agency at Maryville for 16 years, retiring in 2003.
She was married on Sept. 2, 1988 in St. Joseph to Jerome “Jerry” Zimmerman, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Bruce (Kimmie) Schaeffer of Blue Springs; daughters, Beth Ann Fuhrman, Merriam, KS, Jeanie Schaeffer of Kansas City, KS and Kimberly Schaeffer (Jim Fuhrman) of Skidmore; a step-son, Greg Zimmerman (Linda) of Plattsburg; a step-daughter, Angela Zimmerman; grandchildren, August, Austin and Alec Fuhrman, Elizabeth Schaeffer and Maggie and John Fuhrman; a brother, Tom Peery of Melbourne; sisters, Sara Ann Wilson of Maryville and Linda Gibson, Trenton; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; a son-in-law; Kent Fuhrman; and brother-in-law, Charles Wilson.
