The Trenton Royals little league and minor league teams were both in action Tuesday night. The little league team was in action at home against Gallatin and won 13-1, while the minor league team suffered its first loss of the season, a 6-5 loss to Crazy Merv’s of Bethany.

The little league Royals were coming off an 8-4 loss to Gallatin on the road Friday night in a game where Gallatin rallied for five runs on six Trenton errors to take the game. Trenton would get its revenge on Tuesday night when the series shifted to Griffin Field in Trenton. The Royals jumped out to an early lead in the first inning and were never in danger as they defeated visiting Gallatin, 13-1.
With the split against Gallatin, the Trenton little league Royals moved to 3-2 on the season. The little league squad returns to action on Friday, facing undefeated Pattonsburg on the road. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The Trenton minor league Royals entered Tuesday night with a perfect 3-0 mark, but Crazy Merv’s of Bethany would hand the team its first loss by a single run.
Now 3-1, the minor league Royals will look to bounce back on Friday as they travel to Gallatin for action. The first pitch for that game is set for 6 p.m.
