The Tri-County R-7 and Princeton R-5 boards of education met Monday night, with the Tri-County board selecting a new member and the Princeton board agreeing to increase meal prices. Both boards accepted a resignation.

According to information provided by Superintendent Phil Fox, the board appointed Megan Stout to fill a position on the board vacated by the resignation of Stephanie Eckert. She will be sworn in at the June meeting.
Board members heard a report on summer school, which will begin on Monday, May 21, and approved all extra duty stipends for sports activities for the 2012-2013 school year. Also approved was the purchase and installation of a garage door on the bus barn by Randy Provorse at a total cost of $500.
In new business, the board heard the first reading of MSBA policy updates, approved the purchase service agreement for occupational therapy with Greg Terwilliger at a rate of $65 per hour and a purchase service agreement for speech therapy with Nancy Edwards for $57 per hour. The 2012-2013 preliminary budget was reviewed, with no action taken and the board discussed summer maintenance projects.
An executive session was held, after which it was announced that the resignation of Jayla Smith as Family and Consumer Science instructor was accepted, effective at the end of the school year.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Thursday, June 14.
Princeton R-5
According to information provided by the district, the board raised lunch prices for the 2012-2013 school year to comply with new federal guidelines. All prices will raise 10 cents, meaning elementary lunch will cost $1.85, while high school lunch and adult lunch will cost $2.10.
Board members accepted the resignation of high school business teacher Amanda Mitchell, effective at the end of this school year. Also approved were program reviews for health services, practical arts and vocational programs. Two transfers to the Capital Projects Fund were approved, one from the General Fund for $162,326 and one from the Classroom Trust Fund for $120,000.
In other business, the board heard a report on the FY12 budget updates and a preliminary report on the FY13 budget.
An executive session was held to discuss a personnel matter, with no announcement made.
