Gold Rush Entertains At Rotary Meeting

Members of the Trenton High School music group, “Gold Rush,” presented the program at Thursday’s meeting of the Trenton Rotary Club. L.D. Gibson was the program.

The group sang five songs, including one performed at the district music competition. In addition, the women’s double quartet and men’s double quartet also sang their district music pieces. The group will be performing, along with the women’s choir, at the spring contest at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 30 at the First Baptist Church.
Matthew Remus, vocal music instructor, conducted the group and Sonja Wimer played the piano accompaniment. Cameron Warner played the drums to accompany one of the songs.
During the business meeting, a member of the district youth exchange committee talked about the youth exchange program. Guests were Gary Jordan, Deanna Jones and Karen Fraser-Moore.
