Bobby Vern McLin, a 79-year-old resident of Trenton, died at 12:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Resthaven Mortuary, north of Trenton. Burial will be in the Princeton Cemetery.
A visitation is scheduled from 7 to 8 o’clock tonight (Monday, April 16, 2012) at the funeral home.
Mr. McLin was born April 13, 1933 in Corydon, IA, the son of Ted and Dorothy Lucinda Hilliard McLin. He graduated high school in Corydon and served in the United States Navy from 1953 through 1957.
After spending a number of years living in California, he moved to Trenton in 1971 and married Barbara Oswalt on Aug. 29, 1971. He was employed with Donaldson’s in Chillicothe as well as doing many other jobs including snow removal, landscaping and mowing. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and hugging women.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Barbara McLin of the home; a son, Steven McLin of California; a brother, Eudene McLin and his wife, Fran of San Diego, CA; a sister Dolores Ryan and her husband, Jack of Des Moines, IA; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
