Bryan J. Coon, 40, 1104 Wiggins St., was sentenced to the Department of Corrections on eight counts to which he had earlier pleaded guilty. The charges and sentences were: first degree statutory sodomy, 50 years; first degree statutory sodomy, 60 years; furnishing pornographic materials to a minor, four years; endangering the welfare of a child, seven years; first degree statutory sodomy, 50 years; furnishing pornographic materials to a minor, four years; and endangering the welfare of a child, seven years. The sentences are to run concurrently.
Robert E. Williams, 35, Excelsior Springs, pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended and was sentenced to serve 30 days in the Grundy County Detention Center.
Bobby W. Munday, 72, Trenton, pleaded guilty to deviate sexual assault and had sentencing set for June 14. A charge of first degree sexual misconduct was continued until that date.
Bryce A. Todd, 20, Smithville, had his probation continued on an original charge of tampering with a motor vehicle and was placed on house arrest for a term deemed necessary by his supervising probation officer.
Casey A. Russell, 513 E. Ninth Ct., had a one-day jury trial scheduled for Nov. 20 on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, possession of a controlled substance and forgery.
Ronnie Stevens, 21, 1801 Oak St., pleaded guilty to theft of a firearm and had sentencing set for June 14.
Rex Winters, 41, 509 Monroe St., was sentenced to serve five years each in the Department of Corrections on charges of second degree burglary and stealing. The sentences are to run concurrently with each other and with another Grundy County case. He had earlier pleaded guilty to the charges.
Brandon Z. Brewer, 29, Spickard, pleaded not guilty to stealing, possession of a controlled substance, failing to cover or sufficiently secure a load and failing to display plates on a motor vehicle. He is to appear in court again May 17.
Lynnsey Christie, 27, 105 Maupin St., pleaded guilty to second degree burglary and stealing and had imposition of her sentence suspended. She was placed on probation for five years, with the condition that she successfully complete the Third Circuit Supervisory Program.
Patrick McPherson, 1105 McPherson St., had his probation continued on two charges of non-support, with the condition that he complete outpatient treatment and engage in other treatment as may be recommended by probation and parole. He is also to engage in vocational rehabilitation and pay $50 to CAB.
Wyatt H. McClamroch, 50, 405 DeBolt, pleaded guilty to two counts of operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner involving an accident and was fined $75.50 on each count. He also pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was sentenced to serve three years in the Department of Corrections. He also pleaded guilty to driving while revoked or suspended and was ordered to serve 48 hours in the Grundy County Detention Center, with credit given for time served.
Richard L. Johnson, Spickard, waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty to driving while intoxicated and had sentencing set for May 17.
David L. Shiner, 20, 1307 Tindall Ave., pleaded guilty to three counts of forgery and had sentencing set for July 12. Two other charges of forgery were dismissed.
Billy J. Kately, 39, Columbia, had his probation revoked on an original charge of non-support and was ordered to serve three years in the Department of Corrections, with the sentence to run concurrently with a Randolph County case.
J.W. Nolan, 30, Corder, pleaded not guilty to non-support and is scheduled to appear in court June 14.
Jason E. Almond, 34, Chillicothe, had a one-day jury trial scheduled for Oct. 31 on a charge of stealing.
Beverly Cogan, 46, 510 W. 10th St., pleaded not guilty to animal abuse and had her case set for May 17.
Daniel T. Byrnes, 33, 1845 E. 28th St., had a two-day jury trial scheduled for Aug. 20 on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
William R. Scholl, 25, 1801 Oak St., had earlier pleaded guilty to distribution, delivery or manufacture of a controlled substance and was sentenced to serve 10 years in the Department of Corrections, with the court retaining jurisdiction for 120 days. He was also sentenced to serve 30 days in the Grundy County Detention Center on a charge of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, to which he had also pleaded guilty. A Criminal Activity Forfeiture Act case resulted in a judgment against the defendant in the amount of $865 in U.S. currency.
Vernon E. Johnson, 40, 2205 Chicago St., was sentenced to pay a $300 fine on a charge of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, to which he had earlier pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to serve six years in the Department of Corrections on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and had execution of the sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for five years and is to serve 14 days shock time.
