Since housing assistance is provided on behalf of the family or individual, participants are able to find their own housing, including single-family homes, townhouses or apartments. Eligible for the voucher is determined by the Public Housing Agency based on gross annual income and family size. The CAA is the local agency administering the program and will calculate the maximum amount of housing assistance available.
Because the demand often exceeds resources available for the program, waiting periods are common, The CAA waiting list is currently estimated at six months to one year.
Persons wanting more information about the program can contact the CAA at 550-359-3907 or 1-855-290-8544. Persons can also get information by e-mail at [email protected].
